I know lol, thats why i bought the a/c delete pulley. That is to offset the weight i am gaining in my body. I figure if i get rid of the whole a/c system i can save atleast 30 pounds or so.

i've never needed to gain weight...wish i had that problem. If i lose another 10-15 pounds i will be good. I cant really count my loss/gain count this summer because i lost fat and gained muscle (which we all know weighs more than fat...)

Lifted from the time I was 14 to mid 20'*.
Blend some fruit in with the protein shake, them aren't very tasty and need all the help they can get. Almonds are a great source of protein too btw.
Like swimming, never lift alone. You need at least 1 other person, preferably two.
Don't forget to warmup and stretch too.
I'm sure diet et al has changed immensely from my days. So subscribe to muscle mag or something.

I did early in high school for a while, stopped for a few years, picked it back up in college for a good solid summer, dropped it for another few years. I started the last time in '05. Started eating 170 grams of protein a day; shakes, powerbars, cans of tuna, etc. Then I started working 15 hours/day, 6 days a week.

I used to lift, it was quite a while ago, before Andrew was born. I gave it up for 2 reasons, one the gym closed that I worked at (I was the personal trainer) and two, my back was bigger than PDad'*
I am proud of one thing that I did gain, I was able to lift 750 pounds with my legs for 10 reps, and for a woman, that ain't half bad.

I used to lift religiously in high school since all my friends played football and it was just fun to do with them. I still lift but not as much as I would like too. I was 170lbs in HS and could put up 300lbs on bench and over 400lbs squatting. Now I have a mild hernia I need to have taken care of
If you’re looking for a better way to defend yourself I don't think just packing on muscle is the best way to do it. Sure doesn't hurt though, just don't rush into anything. Get a routine started up and stick to it. What works well for one person may not work well for you; figure out what your body responds well to and stick with it.
