No, I don't have a 2-speed in it.

If I get daring, I'll race people down my street.

People have a tendancy to race down my street which is a 50KM/h school zone and they'll do like 60-80 all day.

So just before someone gets infront of my driveway I open it up and I've caught up to their speed in like 2 seconds. Then I'm usually too far away to keep going so I slam on the brakes turn around and wait for the next victim.

I once raced my father a bunch of times in the '98 SSEi with my RS4 2 in my school'* parking lot, (nice long stretch).

I absolutely destroy him off the line (of course). I pull back before he manages to pass me cause it'* too far away from me by then.

Good times!

hee hee... you think it'* fast.. you should really get a 2 speed and tranny brace... you won't regret it.. I thoroughly enjoyed mine when I had it... I'm trying to swindle a deal for a Duratraxx Nitro Quake for the off road purpose.. but that'* not going well.. so I may look into a TRAXX *** ( even though I hate them ) for nitro off road monster truck. but if I have a choice.. I'd like to get my hands on the Serpent Impulse.. or I think HPI has released a Nitro 3? Have to check their website.

This summer i either am going to buy a traxxas rustker or an HPI mini car, i've been involved with r/c for about 9 years..just never saved up enough $ to buy a "real" r/c car.

I just saw my first T-MAXX in person today. Man those things are BIG. Massive tires, soft, long suspension.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to drive it tonight!

blitzkrieg2003

Look in ebay for some good used ones.. what are you lookin for ? a race truck? T3 would be my choice.. too bad hpi forum got rid of the buy and sell part in the fourm.

Acid
Yea.. I never liked the Traxxas fit and quality of their stuff..( had to build an old Traxxas Fiero many moons ago when I was working at Oakville Hobby ) but it semes like the only choice I got currently.. without researchin that is.. but the T-Maxx has 2 speed tranny mwahahaha... get to try it? Nice.. where do I sign up to test drive those tings?

Have you entered into the PLRC races in Streestville/Mississauga? I did a while back with my Pro 2 2 summers ago.. in that course.. a 2 speed isn't needed since the course is pretty small. There'* also a track up north I use to favor for off road.. can't remember where exactly.. but when I find the name... it was a front yard of someones place and it was nice.

You going to bring your R/C to the meet? hee hee.. bet you can race some Civics there.. hahaha

Drifter,

When the 2 guys finally got their trucks working last night. The one guy drove his T-Maxx into a nice cement wall and smashed the entire left wheel linkage and suspension etc. That was the end of the T-Maxx...

Then just minutes later the other guy smashed his HPI truck into a lamp post, smashing his front right wheel.

MAN they were crappy drivers. :?

But while I watched the T-Maxx go I was not impressed at all, may just have been setup porrly but the clutch seemed to engage very poorly and at too high an RPM. And that suspension seemed really soft.

I will be at the PLRC races on Sunday (hopefully). If you happen to ever be there just look for "Cool Switch" and our big white canopy.

Blitzkreig.. best of luck in your quest for a T3... stay away from the Traxxas line if you can.. I don't like the Rustler... doesn't handle well... but then again.. I'm use to the T3 :?

Acid... That is crappy driving and hell of a sacrilige ( like spillin beer ) to schmuck those up.. why not stick to Nikko, Tyco, or Radio Shack tilll their ready? And unload there stuff on us . Yes if the clutch isn't engaging till high RPM'* get him to trim a lil bit off the clutch shoe spring this will allow the clutch shoe to hit the clutchbell quicker at lower RPM ( I"ve seen and DONE that leaving the way your buddy has it.. he will burn the shoes onto the clutchbell really quick and soon.. then the day is shot till you get replacement. Won't be there this Sunday.. but will look forward to it. Good luck at PLRC. Were you there 2 summers ago? Ha ha ha.. wouldn't surprise me if i saw you and didn't know it.

Two summers ago I only missed 2 or 3 races. There'* an extremely good chance we saw each other. At the end of the year I finished 30th outta everyone. Not bad for my first full season I guess. Considering how much I suck, lol.

(Thank god I'm not as bad as those other 2 guys though! lol)

Back then I woulda been running my RS4 with a Saleen body, possibly closer to the end of the season with a Blue Ram Air body.

Only raced there 3 times 2 summers ago.. cause they didn't use Transponders so it'* not accurate plus the ripped me off in positions.. was thrown in 4th in C Main when I clearly should've been 2nd or so in B Main. Even had other drives with me that was there even freak out on them about it cause they didn't count a few of my laps.. . Maybe when I get some time.. I'll see if I can put my MR-4TC back together.
