I uninstalled it. Seemed glitchy.
Man this laptop runs really warm compaired to my Dell.
I knew my wife had a hot lap before she used this laptop but man after a half hour or so you could fry an egg on her legs..lol

Check for dust where the fans pulls in air. You need to remove the cover that fits over the processor. You will see the heat sink over the processor. dont pull the sink off the processor cause you prolly dont have the grease for in between the two. Just take a QTip and clean the dust off the fins of the heat sink. They get surprisingly dirty and drive up the heat everywhere.

I think I'm going to just break down and buy a cooling pad. Hate those things. extra cords and one more piece of equiptment to keep around.

Todd...I found this in a NC8230 forum in regards to it running hot:
"There is a metal plate that holds the fan in place. You have to remove this plate to access the memory slot under the keyboard. I completely removed the plate, then re-installed it making sure the fan was properly seated and all of the screws were secure. There are two screws around the fan that have (if I remember correctly) springs around the threads. Those are the two that hold the fan to the heatsink. If you follow the users manual to install/remove a DIMM in the slot under the keyboard, it will explain how to remove the plate."
