Default Interesting TRACK story

So at the track tonight, they let whoever race whoever, including PRO-Street cars. One on my races was against a 70 Malibue Pro-street. While it'* idlingnext to me I can FEEL it through out my whole body, blub-bulb-blub. It make a huge burnout and goes past the tree, backs up and where set. When that thing took off, it was so fricking loud, couldn't hear or feel anything else than this 10 second monster next to me. Got the adrenalin pumping big time.Obvisously I got killed.

I'm looking at the slip here and he ran 10.3, what I think is weird is that my trap speed is FASTER than his. He got there 4.5 second quicker but I'm going 1.5 mph faster. That'* pretty weird to me. All about the gearing I guess.

ME-01 SSEi-------70 Malibu Pro-street
R/T-----.962-----------.888
60'-------2.357--------1.360
330'-----6.341--------3.933
1/8------9.657--------6.071
MPH-----74.45-------115.11
1000---12.494-------8.148
1/4-----14.885-------10.390
MPH------93.97------92.48

After I just typed that in I realized that with him being at 115mph at the 1/8 he must of just let of the gas early. Anyways it was a little hairy racing next to a pro-street at a track with no center median. we were 10-14ft apart. I've been to a different race track Route 66 and they did NOT let prosteet race with the public. Any of your guys tracks allow this?

Awesome to let you run with him, Sacramento will not even let me run the street tire Chevelle against slick cars. If I were to run slicks, obviously I would be able to get into the #1 lane, by choice. I can however run with the street tire class because I am muffled and licensed for street duty. That is what I was told anyway, I could be wrong on the actual track rules.

That car you ran was probably an easy 9 second car, traps at over 130 if my math is right. He must have let off at the 8th mile mark :?

At mid-michigan motorplex it is just test and tune, anybody can race anybody else. As long as you are following the rules for your particular class they really don't care who you race.

At the local track US 41 they pretty much let you run against anyone or anything. Ive seen snowmobiles run against pro street cars before. Best 8 sec. Ive seen in awhile.

Wow... ...that would be sweet. I love the feel of the high-powered concussion rippling through the air...

He may have had really tall gearing ini the rear end and just topped out early.

There was a guy I knew in high school that had a pumped up '70 Nova. It was the quickest car around, but only topped out at about 85 miles per hour. He had 5.13:1 gears.
