2008 Chicago Auto Show pics! (Including a certain G car ;)
Ok, finally got around to cropping, cleaning up and re-sizing these. Terrific show. There was lots to see this year, like the production G8, which I actually got to sit in. They should be at dealerships any day now in auto, and then the manual towards the end of this year. The Challenger is supposed to be out in May. Not quite as stunning as the prototype, but pretty damn close. Got one of the Maisto die-cast Challenger toys they were giving away for doing this stupid quiz thingy. Looked them up on eBay, and the orange ones are going for ~$30 already. The ZR1 is a show stopper. Ceramic pads AND rotors, carbon fiber up the wazoo, 620hp, etc. Definitely a dream car. Anyway, enjoy....

I'd take the Camaro over the Challenger, although they're both really nice. Challenger is more vintage looking, whereas I think the Camaro'* looks bridge the gap a bit better between the old and the new.

I believe that was the actual Camaro that was in Transformers, so that'* a little different than the one that'* actually coming out. It was in Seattle too...

Wow, those are all outstanding. The ZR1 is absolutely a show stopper, that thing is TIGHT. The Challenger is really quite nice, IMO, but definitely not pushing any real styling boundaries, just basically reintroducing an updated classic.
Now the G8 GT. In every new shot I see of it...depending on the angle, it can go from insanely sexy to oh hell no. Black is certainly going to be the right color for it. A dark midnight blue would work, but I don't think they're offering one for the release. This is only something small, the GTs styling should be failing in comparison to what they will be releasing with the GXP. I hope that has a bit MORE thought put into it.
What the heck was up with that 300C? Someone got any more info on that thing?

G8 = drop dead gorgeous.... Camaro will outperform and undersell the Stang and the challenger.
Did they actually let you check out the Fords, at the grand rapids international autoshow, all the mustangs were locked. big thumbs down to the ford exhibition :?
