Could one Bonnie pull another bonneville?

I'm wondering could my L27 tow another bonneville, it'* a state to state trip. I was just wondering? It would be My 1994 (L27) pulling a newer 98 model.

Towing over 1000lbs is not recommended as these are unibody, front wheel drive cars.

here'* why http://www.bordergatewayprotocol.net...snowtowcar.wmv

NO structure lol.

LOL. This is funny..

Way back when...the transmission in my 87 was dying. So, I bought a wrecked 89 with a good tranny. The wrecked one was 85 miles away. The only way to get it home was to tow it. Only tow vehicle I had was the Bonnie. I rented a car dolly and towed the someofbitch all that way! LOL

I definitely fragged what little bit was left of the 87 tranny. It reaked of burnt oil when I got home.

So, to answer the question, yes, it can be done....but don't expect to have much of a transmission left! And, give yourself PLENTY of stopping distance.

Because the half shafts are spinning faster then the engine, through gears, hence "overdrive". If you've significantly increased the load by pulling something like a boat, leaving it in OD is a quick way to kill a tranny, especially a slushbox.
