and I'm not happy. The warranty is void cause I've opened it up already, so I'm on my own for this one. My error code is 0110 which is Memory Error/Memory Overheating.

You can call microsoft and get to a manager and they'll replace it for you anyway, out of warranty or not.

They might not take mine even without a warranty. I've got all sorts of leads and resistors soldered on to the MB. When I get home today I'll open it up and try the penny trick to see if they're just overheating. If that doesn't work, I'll bake the MB to remove any moisture.

So I took it apart tonight and sure enough there'* a problem with the RAM

VeQO9.jpg

But where did all this moisture come from? My guess is the heat pads because it'* only the memory modules on the bottom of the board and the moisture is sticky like glue.

Anyway, I'll throw it in the oven tomorrow to evaporate any moisture and put it back together with my fingers crossed.

Xbox is in the oven baking at 250*. I'll give it about 20 minutes and put it back together.

Well, 250* wasn't enough, so it went up to 300*.

No... I just fixed it. EDIT: Oh, the video isn't finished processing yet.

Yea, there was moisture under the memory modules shorting them out. That'* why a 0110 code was thrown. It took 25 minutes at 300* in the oven to get it working again.
