amazing day (camaro related)
Today was a great day. I had basketball practice from 9:30 to 11:30...dont you just love varsity sports . Then, when I got home me and my dad took the 700R4 from my 89 Camaro to get rebuilt at the transmission shop down the road that we trust. When we got there, they had a newer 700R4 that would bolt right up already rebuilt full race ready (Its now made up of Corvette Z06 parts and some). The best part, it was for a great price. $600 for the tranny, and then another $100 for a GM performance high stall torque converter. It was $750 with tax. I was quoted on the phone almost $900 for the same transmision. Fortunately for me, a guy had order the tranny and never paid for it in 3 months, and they needed it out of there shop because nobody had been looking for a built 700R4. They also said that once we get the car running to bring it back up to them, and they will set the tranny up for free as in checking the fluid levels, adjusting the cables, and checking the shifts. Today was a great day. [/end of story]

in like a year...i'm still a couple thousand short ...It needs an LT1 rebuilt and me to make the wiring harness (have that money in the bank), but then it needs brakes, tires, rims (can wait), carpet, racing seats, a new dash, paint (can wait), posi, suspension, ect. It really is a project car. Plus, I have a 305 TBI and a 265 "Baby LT1" I need to get out of the garage.
