We don't go overboard. Most decorations are within the house. We might have some lights and we will have a wreath on the door.

hehe, all our married life, we had this little tree. Maybe 5.5 feet tall and not really big around. It was artificial, from wal mart. Her family HATED it. its so small and tacky looking, it just doesnt show the spirit of Christmas

It fit our living room, presents fit under it, and I thought it blended well with our house.
Last year, the old tree wasnt going to survive another year, so we splurged on a real cut one, about 7 feet tall. It BARELY fit the room, and was hard to see around from one seat.
Best thing is, we have been estranged from her family (just had it to here with their crap) for over 2 years, so they didnt see it.

I still missed the old tree...I thought it was very reflective of where our values are.

We have a fiber optics tree that is so nice because we don't have to worry about adding lights. It is a good size and looks great. I get mesmerized by the changing colors. We put our decorations out Thanksgiving weekend. I do like the look of the icicle lights but don't know if we will do that this year. If we put them up we might not take them down until March or so

In high school and college, I used to love to put up all kinds of lights on my parents house. Now that I have my own house, I haven't done much yet... but maybe this is the year........ put on those shades! Otherwise, everything is pretty much inside. My wife is into the tasteful holiday/winter decorations.

Not to big into the decorations of Christmas. I just like to show the spirit. Oh and eat all of the yummy food.

Now how much longer till Thanksgiving, I could go for a nice big roasted turkey.
