I just saw this post...I was gone all day yesterday spending time with Brandon, my 5 year old son that I have really seen for the first time...it'* a long story, but I have been fighting with his mom for a long time and I have *finally* got him for the summer (I haven't seen him since he was 10 mos old). We went to Universal Studios and although it rained for half the time we were there, it didn't matter. He got to see his favorite hero, Spiderman, and that'* all that matters. He also, for the first time, rode rides...his very first one was the Jurassic Park River Ride, which has a very scary and steep drop at the end. It was a very good day.

Though it should be a given, fathers, give your kids those hugs and kisses. Let them know you love them, and they will do the same. Though mine didn't have any memories of me and didn't quite know what I looked like, I told him on the phone everytime we talked that I loved him, I missed him, and couldn't wait to see him. When he stepped off the plane Thursday night, he looked right at me and smiled, and pointed to me all excited screaming "DADDY!" And though it'* still early, he minds me like he has known me all along.

Happy Belated Fathers Day all....
