I don't know if they make the paint, but I doubt that thin of a layer of lead would help anyway. The distortion is from the magnets most likely, and lead won't block that anyways....
Sorry, no suggestions to offer...

The distortion is caused by the speaker magnets, and won't be affected by lead. A peice of wood, or some other dense and non-magnitizable(if that'* a word) material might get rid of some of the interference. I don't know anything else to suggest.

i have tried wood and glass, even aluminum foil, the only thing that works at all is the panelling from my old computer which smells like it has a lead coating, and a regular sheet of metal didnt help

Basically what you want to do is create a faraday cage, like buildings are when you can't get out on your cell becase the iron beams block all signals. So you need a bunch of iron i beams....yeah sorry, no good suggestions...

Thanks Ryan. I'm an engineer, not an English major. If you've already tried wood and stuff, then I'm out of ideas. How far from the TV are the speakers?

All you have to do is see how they make the magnetically shielded speakers and get some of that stuff. I have my center channel speaker for my surround sound sitting directly on my TV and have no problems at all.
