Started out my vacation driving down to St. Louis so my son could go up into the Arch. Then proceeded to drive out to Kansas City (Overland Park) to visit a friend that graduated from WMU last year. While there we went to Worlds of Fun amusement park. From there we drove out to Rocky Mountain National Park and met up with some friends from California. Did the camping thing--despite all the warnings we didn't see a single bear. From there we drove to Yellowstone National Park via the south enterence (Grand Teton National Park) and did more of the camping thing with our friends. From there we drove the Bear Tooth Highway (wish I had my Bonneville for that road), said good bye to our fiends from CA and proceeded to Mount Rushmore. From Rushmore we went to the Badlands National Park and stayed in a hotel in the little town of Interior (population 75). Did some climbing with my six-year old son (wife stayed with the one-year old). From there we headed for home and got as far a Omaha. We were home the next evening.
Hey Opensource, I know where you are--and I have know where Custom is for some time. (tried to meet up with him last year or so--but he wasn't up for it). If either of you want to get together some time, by all means lets.
