my ex and i had a cutlass ciera with the 3300 it was great couldnt kill it
tranny was weak though
ours was white too
if it has a tranny whine get it checked before saying no ours whined till we got rid of it

the car was sold when we called last night, and he said that it was cheap because of a head gasket issue (she talked on the phone, so i'm not sure of the details)....

It was probably a LIM intake issue and not a head gasket issue. The LIM gaskets were never an issue with the 3300. Had to have been been the 3100. You're better off without that engine....

Actually, with age much like the Vin C and L these gaskets would fail in the exact same manner.. The 3300 was not produced in the massive numbers the 3800 was, so we didn't see them have a lot of issues..
I would agree and say the 3300 would almost never kill a head gasket.. The intake gasket is possible..
And it almost does sound like a 3100( I like the 3300 Better )...
