Default '92 SSEi

Any general opinion on them, mechanical and otherwise? They have any common problems? I heard the don't have the valve-burning problems of the EGR-less N/A engine. Am I correct in this assumption? How do they compare with other '92-'99 Bonnies, both the same and SE and SSE models? Thanks in advance, to all those out there that make me look so stupid with their exhaustive knowledge of this subject :P What would I do without you guys

I LOVE my 92 SSEi, don't get me wrong, but with the higher miles comes higher amounts of problems. I've gone through a water pump and 3 */c (another story....). If I were you I'd hold out for a EXTREMLY LOW miles a 92-95 SSEi if you can't get a 96-newer one.

Like every first year for a new platform, there will be more problems than that of a same car a year or two newer.

No chronic problems with them, and any bugs would be worked out already. There are some minor differences between 92 and 93. A slightly less efficient valvetrain is the most obvious. Looking at the whole, 92 is not a bad year at all.

most important is the Flash feature and you can pull codes out of the ACC...all without scantools That is a huge bonus in itself

If you're somewhat apprehensive about the 92, then why not check out Spiral'* 93?

Sprial'* is one year newer, has at least a 4-year newer engine, Series II L67, and I think has leather (the 92 doesn't). I also know that the 92 doesn't have a sunroof.

Comparing them side-by-side makes Spiral'* a better overall value.

I don't know, I like SSEi'* better... The SSEis, what kind of fuel do they take? Do they need premium, or can they do fine on 89 Plus?

SSEi'* are premium fuel only. It says so right under the gas guage! I use nothing but premium, 92 octane or higher.
