Not impressed with an 8-second firehawk. Ok.

Cuz you sure see that every day, right? No props to the guy, in spite of the fact that he'* not the only one to do it, simply because some stang guys do it too.

Alrighty then.

I guess not impressed cause a old NA mustang can do the same thing without the aid of a turbo or supercharger I guess.
Any car doing an 8 sec 1/4 mile is impressive

How the heck did he do that.
Thousands. Which is no more impressive than the Firehawk.

We don't know that for sure. It could be some good engineering done on the cheap.

How did this turn into Ford vs. GM post? Oh wait I see...

These kinds of posts never go in a good direction.... Especially arguing that a Ford is better on a GM forum... Uhh no, that doesn't work.

I loved the original post, until it turned into this.

Me too. Making any street car run an 8 second qtr is pretty impressive, so I'm not going to knock the fellow. The SLP f-bodies (Firehawk and SS) were nice cars, as were the Ligenfellter 420'*. There were just too rich for my blood (which is why I bought base model V6 F-bodies and re-engined them myself )

Kinda pointless to say that esp considering we don't really know whats in either car. This could just be a case of some 800+ ci na Ford vs the turbo'd 350.
