Default The 70'* and 80'* thread!

Caution, reminiscing ahead.

If you remember "Emergency!" (TV show about firefighters and paramedics.)

ABC news had a bell tolling every night for hostages in Iran.

You watched your neighbor walking around his yard with a white brick-like device sporting a chrome 3 foot rod sticking out of it, holding it to his head and seemingly talking to himself...

Your home was cooled by a big white box sticking out of the window that always dripped large amounts of water outside.

Most of your neighbors had slide in campers for thier pickups.

You tightrolled your jeans, and Reebok high tops were the MUST.

You FEARED a visit to the principals office, knowing you would get a paddling there, and another when you got home for being so outta line that you NEEDED a visit to the principals office in the first place.

You rushed home from school to watch Sesame Street.

Televisions were mandatory pieces of furniture, and the tops were graced by family photos, plants, car keys, incoming and outgoing mail, and later some strange big boxes called VCR'*

now add yours!

Back then....

People knew what "AMC" stood for.

Saturday morning cartoons meant something.

REAL "Happy Meals" included cookies.

Friday nights included Rockford Files, Quincy M.D., and Perry Mason.

Your mothers watched "Dallas" and "Falcon Crest" when it was bedtime.

You didn't understand the Star Trek jokes about the people in Red shirts always getting killed...because your TV was a black and white with rabbit ears on top.

Walking around with a 22cal rifle slung over your shoulder was normal enough that nobody called the cops about the terrorist next door.

Didn't we do this a while back? lol oh well....um

80'*
Teddy Rupskin, Thundercats, Knight Rider, The 1st nintendo,

um....most cars were either green, brown, or an orangish color lol and most of the time the interior matched the exterior of the car (also applies for late 70'* cars).

We could trick or treat for as long as we wanted without worry.

70'*
Atari

I wasn't around in the 70'* but when I was born in 1983 my parents had an atari so I'm assuming it came out in the 70'*.
