Default Some people!

I tell ya, the nerve of some people.
Yesterday morning I posted an ad on Craigslist for my 95 Bonneville. The one that has no engine and no transmission. It went along the lines of...
"FREE, car. NO ENGINE, NO TRANSMISSION, NO TITLE. FREE FOR SCRAP TAKING. YOU MUST HAUL."

Some of the responses urked me.

Does it still run?

What do I need to make it run?

I had one guy actually coming to pick it up. Then emailed asking for pics to see what it had for parts. I told him it was not part worthy and that it was to be used for scrap purposes only. Guess he changed his mind.

Finally, just now, I got an email from another guy saying he could pick it up with either is 16ft flatbed or his tow dolly. Whoo hoo!!

That'* Craigslist for ya. We had a lady call about a piece of furniture once. They lived about 10-15miles away and said they was leaving right then. They still haven't showed up and that was about a month ago.

Edit: also I'm not sure how the scrap yards are by you but around here you have to have the title to scrap a vehicle

I was told, in NY, if the vehicle is over 10 years old, title is not needed to scrap.

Guy came and got the car an hour ago. That car gave me many years of service. RIP ol'girl.

Its different in NY then because we hauled my 96 Corsica to the scrap yard last fall and had to hand over the title.
