Default 5363 miles this month!

Yeah it was busy for me, From June 1 till today, Me and my gray haired LE went over 5k miles this month. It was busier than usual but I didnt realize till today that she was getting quite a workout.

One oil change, tire rotation, and an O2 sensor was all she got

It depends on what oil and filter you run.

I go every 5k in one car, 3k in the other. Guess which one gets the Dino juice?

Krzy, what the h e l l do you do for a living?

I am a copier/printer tech. Its in my profile

Dino juice and ACdelco oil filters is what she gets, its all hwy miles anyways. She doesnt leak any oil, but seeps mildly. If I were to every re-gasket the engine, I might switch to synth.

Her career as a road warrior is almost over. After doing this for almost 10 years with my own car, I finally became eligible for company vehicle. Should be here in early September.

Whats the automotive equivalent of a gold watch for retirement?

Bought with right at 103k intending it just to be my pleasure driver. It sat for about a year getting casual use. Last August I pressed it into road warrior service with about 107k on it.

It has 161k on it now 11 months later.

She works hard and doesnt complain, except for oil consumption being a little more than I like. Its had the following in the last 11 months...

2 air filters
Many oil changes
2 trans filter drain and replace
New tires
New brakes and rotors
New trans modulator valve
Sparkplugs
Delco ignition (hats off to Boosty for that one )
Belt
Radiator repaired and flushed
Hub on front
Blower Motor and relay
Shot of R12 to make it blow cold air again

Not bad at all for a car thats almost old enough to vote. Mostly maintenence items! Gotta love our cars.
