My dad got unjustly fired from DuPont almost 2 years ago. Dupont kept delaying EVERYTHING!, we had a very solid case to easily win this. After my dad was fired, he tried getting a job at every place that he was trained to do. He had GREAT interviews everywhere, everybody liked him and wanted him to work for them, when they kicked it upstairs, we never heard anything from any of the companies, DuPont made sure my dad was not hired, but not officially. You know what I mean. Well, the crappy union he was in gave him a crappy lawyer who actually told us we were going to lose. I just found out that we lost the case. We have very tough times ahead of us.

wow im sory to hear that.. you should get one of those laywers that will listen to your dads case and decide if he can win for sure.. and if he feel'* like he can win definetly then he will take the case and take his cut when you win or sometimes they ask for a$500 deposit upfront.. but its well worth it if you feel he has something goodto fight and argue with....

We want to get another lawyer and appeal, but now we really can't afford to. What makes this worse, his friend testified against him

He got three mistakes in one year, of the 32 years he was working there before that, he never made one mistake.

Did he really make the mistakes? And what is the policy regarding this?

One was the plants fault, he left a van running and it popped out of gear and hit a pole.
He tried to adjust something and his finger tip cut off
He pumped something into the wrong truck even though nothing different would have happened even if he pumped it into the right truck.
We were fighting them because of the extreme punishments they put on us though, 3 months unpaid suspension and 2 years probation. and too many other things to list.

Wait a second...it says above he was there 32 years? Now this sounds even fishier. Maybe they didn't want him to collect his pention so they fired him? I'd get a new lawyer and fight this big time. There are good lawyers out there that will work for you, and you only pay if you win. I had one for my auto-accident, he was great.

It is cheaper for them to get rid of experienced workers and hire new ones, we think that was one of the reasons why he was punished so hard.
