It will NOT be a collector'* item with the end of Oldsmobile. Sorry.

Knowing what year it is might help, but it'* pointless. I wouldn't touch it with a thrown rod.

To be honest...probably not...part it out.

That engine is toast, get what you can from parts, I bet a few Olds owners may need some of those parts if they are in good shape, you can make better money.

Killer, I gotta admit, your new camera takes pretty good pics.

Just a suggestion here, get a rebuild kit, some tools, a manual and your favorite CD, and try your hand at rebuilding it? You got nothing to lose, something to learn and maybe appreciate the kind of damage that abuse can do to a machine, and you might even be able to drive/sell it when you're done.

but thats just a suggestion

I dont think I can rebuild it because I think the rod went through the side of the block cause after it seized up they had to tow it and it got like 3 qts of oil all over his flat bed truck (cops towed it). I was thinking tho find me another 3800 at a junk yard that works and use that to drop in there but I have no expereince doing this tho but I will be going to school to become a auto mechanic so I have a few choices here....

A. Try to rebuild the engine if the rod didn't go through the block
B. Swap the engine with a junk-yard engine
C. Wait till I am done with school to become a auto mechanic then fix it or swap the engines
D.Try to swap the engine over my summer break /w my part time job

My end result hopefully will be....
Drop a new engine.....
Sand down all rust spots mabey use some bondo and paint it the same color (I love this color)
Fix the door handle
Drive it for a decent looking winter car
