Rule of thumb for GM car'* oil press is approx 10-15psi per 1000 rpm. As min.

The oil pressure like never changed in my 88 cutlass 3.8 stayed around 35 psi give or take 5 psi even when I had it to the floor........even tho the engine did go out :?

typically oil pressure could vary due to the oil weight and the outside temp but i will only vary by a few PSI
