Default Wow, Way cool on Dell'* part.....

I love Dell, when i got my laptop back in Dec 05 it didn't come with the OS disk and other CD'* because it on a hidden partition on the hard drive.
So i called them about it and talked to someone in Tech support because i new someone in sales/ serice wouldn't under stand why i wanted the CD'* not just a image..

anyway i got throw that and got the CD'* and stuff.

Well now its may 30th 2006 and a week ago i installed Windows Vista on my laptop to play around with it. BIG mistake it SUCKS really bad!!!!... but getting to the point i wanted to get rid of vista and install XP again....

OOOOOO SHEEEEE7..... where did my XP DVD go....

some how when i move two times in a 4 month period i lost my XP DVD. Man i was Pi55ed.

But this is why i love dell, i called the tech support again today just 20min ago and told them hat i didn't get a OS disk with my laptop when i got it.. Witch is still true im not lieing i really didn't get one wen i got my laptop (just 3 weeks after i got it when i called them the 1st time)
Anyway after talking to the guy for just like 2 min he said its' ok he will get a order placed and send me out the install package with all the disks i need. Cool
then after he check on my call history he aid that i already called once and ordered them back in Jan. i go "i Did i must have forgot about them or i never received them" then the tech said "its ok Ryan, if you lost them its ok, ill just get a order placed here and get them sent right out to you"

NO F'N WAY MAN, that is cool, WAY cool, so what when ou order a new PC they will keep on sending the OS disk to ou even if i loss them, thats so nice of Dell. now i like them even more them i did before!!!

So now you know if you dont feel like building your own PC or you want a good Laptop... Dude get a Dell....

I read on another forum that a member needed a new IDE cable or something stupid and little from dell, so they sent him a brand new hard drive too, free.

Ok heres MY Dell Horror Story. My mother decides she is going to enter the PC world and learn how to use the computer. She went to school, took some training classes and completed them with flying colors.

Now the bad part. Her first computer she bought was a dell, which was recommended by my aunt, her sister. She got the computer and was very excited when low and behold, one day it crashed on her, blue screen and everything.

She contacted tech support they took her through the troubleshooting and reinstall of windows. Everything was working all for about a week and then the computer crashed yet again. The Dell support said it could be the mother board.

Sooooo off they sent another computer, and although it doesnt crash anymore it still hangs up and acts strangely, so IMO I think Dell sucks. If I were to buy a new PC I would have to go HP or Gateway. I been through her computer thouroghly and did some spyware checks and remove a bunch. Its a little faster, but still not what a new PC should be.

I believe they gave my mother a whole new computer hard drive included. I dont know what it could be. The very first time she called tech support, they wanted her to unplug everything and plug it back in (DSL filters etc) she refused and didnt want to have to go through all of that. I later told her that she has to in order to troubleshoot the problem. She just gave me that look like she wanted to toss the thing out the window. LOL

She needs a clas to teach her how to keep her PC up to date. I had to spend an hour doing all of her updates. LOL Oh well, I think shes happy with it and I dont htink she wants to call tech support ever again after her experience.
