Default Degreased my engine today...Gumout is better than Gunk

Even though everything is covered with a layer of ice including the car, me being a car buff, I degreased and cleaned my engine today . I got to give two thumbs up to the Gumout Steam Premium, it worked much better than the Gunk and it did not smell as strong and bad as gunk. Not to mention it was less harmful to sensitive areas (it says that on the can). It cost a few cents more but it was worth it. Gunk did its job, but I didn't care for the smell. I also found out that my car had been retrofitted with a R-134a AC system back in 97, this will save me some money this summer.

OF COURSE I HAVE PICS!

Why didn't you just continue your thread in Detailing and Appearance? :?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has to use a stick to hold up the hood. New shocks are available but i'm too stingy/poor to get new ones

Looks nice! Looked like it was a pretty cold day there, if it was warmer you could take time to scrub everything you can reach with a rag and then spray off again. But the improvement was vast as it is

haha, notice I painted them blue just like the engine cover, they may be sticks, but they're stylish sticks lol

I just sprayed it on and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, and then I just wiped it off with a rag. The grease just melted
