Default $54 Ticket

My friend got a $54 ticket for riding his bike during the summer. It turns out it is illegal to walk or ride on the turnpike, even though there are no signs that say so, he only lives about 500 ft from it also.

Why in the world would he be riding a bike on the turnpike anyways???? That doesn't sound like a good idea at all to me :?

also, I bet that if you look at the signs on the on ramps, they probably say motorized vehicles only, or no motorcycles under 250cc, they all do around here

Same here.

Hrm, where should I take a stroll. Park? No, too many people. Neighborhood? No, too many nosey neighbors. Ahh, how about the highway. Not many people, no nosey neighbors, and a nice cool variable 0-70 mph breeze to keep me cool...

He has to cross the turnpike to get off of his street, and he lives on a short road

Explain your definition of "turnpike". Most places, it'* the same thing as a freeway.
