Default wow, hyundai goofed up that one

A while back I showed you guys my uncles new Tucson. He was having a lot of trouble with it and told Hyundai he didn't want it anymore, but just not in those polite terms, lol. He decided to go with another Hyundai so he wouldn't lose any money off the Tucson (Hyundai has great customer service, BTW). He decided to go with a Sonata. The one he got is kind of a rust red color and VERY metallic. He was waxing it the other day and noticed paint flaking off of it already and rusting. He took it back to the dealer and turns out there is no kind of primer or anything under the paint and no kind of sealer or anything on top of it. lol Needless to say the car'* getting painted right now. My uncle just has the worst luck with buying new cars. Sometimes I kinda feel sorry for him, lol.

WTF quality control check? Hyundai (bless you...lol, sounds like a sneeze) really dropped the ball there.

And I was just reading a story in the paper today about how Hyundai has rapidly become one of the top automakers in terms of quality.

What does that say about how much we value quality anymore in this country?

My coworker is on his 3rd Hyundead in less than 3 years.
Sonata to Elantra to SantaFe. He hates them all, says they're nothing but junk, but his wife likes the SantaFe so They'e going to keep it even though it throws alot of airbag codes. The dealer just keeps clearing them.

I also believe the new Sonata doesn’t use a regular screw on canister oil filter like we’re used to on today’* modern automobile. Instead, it uses a removable element syle setup, similar to vehicles in the ‘50’* and before.

Actually I think yo have that backwards. I've seen many new cars have elements. We're the 'old' style now.

My mom just bought a new 2007 Camry...and the quality has gone down significantly from the previous model. It would seem quality made autmobiles are a thing of the past...new cars nowadays seem so disposable...very sad, especially since the price just keeps climbing higher and higher.
