I have about 5 of them things in my house right now. One of them is a P4 3Ghz HT processor that runs my server in the basement. Guess I'm a rich guy now.

I'll glady take it today, and pay you a cheeseburger Tuesday.

I seen that he had about 15 offers for them. I'm interested to see what the outcome of this is going to be.

I know double-stamped coins will get you plenty of money. Not too sure about CPU'*, though. There would have to be an insanely great demand to get even a thousand dollars for one of those.

A thousand dollars would probably sell it easy. Especially to someone like me who loves Intel and would want a nice collection (unfortunately I don't have a good enough job yet for that kind of money)

What I would like to do is start a processor/computer collection..starting with...
IBM PS/2 Model 25 8088 processor
IBM PS/2 Model 30 286
Clone 386SX
Clone 486DX2 66MHZ
Clone P1
Clone P2
Clone P3
Clone P4

Man, I miss my old PS/2 Model 25. I ran Windows 3.0 on that bad boy with a 10MB hard drive. 640K of RAM, man that thing rocked Wolfenstein 3D.

And man has times changed. Anyone remember those BIG THICK computer catalogs? Probably had about 500 pages each month? I scanned a page from one of my old ones. I believe this is around 1990.

$2000 for a modest setup...

If you look in the lower right hand corner, you can get a decent inkjet printer for...$2500. Today, you can get a brand new printer for $50.
