Hello everyone. I am glad I happened up on this site as non GTP L67 info seems to be hard to come by. I just inherited my mothers 2000 SSEi. It is bone stock at the moment with 80,000 on the clock but that has never stopped from me tinkering before. I have had it at the track before and it ran consistent a 16.00, with a cool motor and a bag of ice on the supercharger It has run its fastest at 15.4 at 89mph. I am not new to cars. I own a 66 Lemans with a 455, 92 5.0 Coupe, 89 Turbo Volvo Wagon, and am restoring a 67 Mg Midget.

Welcome to the forum. The mod bug is viscious, it has bitten all of us hard. Do you have any pics of your SSEi? We would love to see them

Welcome to the site. With a little work that car will be doing 14s, with a bit more work you might be in the 13s. Push it more and you can even hit the 12s. You came to the right place for that.

Welcome to the Bonneville Forum Casey!

We can get you spending money on mods for that car in under 6 seconds!

I have a 2000 SSEi as well, but with a few mods that has it doing 0-60 in slightly under 5 seconds on pump fuel.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll have some pics up in a little.bit. After I take care of the basics, plugs (colder),a colder thermostat( I have blown up two Volvo B230ft'*, knock is not a joke) , filters, oil and making sure the sensors are all in good shape I'll start going to town with the speed parts. Looks like its going to get the homemade shift kit,I trying to decide what to do about the pcm, a pulley. If I had my way would go to town on the heads with my die grinder and port the blower while I am at it but that is going to have to wait.

Welcome!

Putting ice on the supercharger…*unconventional idea, but I like it.

It'* not that outside the box. It'* an drag racing trick to cool of the intake manifold/supercharger to keep the charge colder and denser to make more power. The guys with big turbos have an ice box in the car that the intake pipes run through to aid the intercooler in it'* job
