You can call it spirited, I can call it irresponsible speed through 25 MPH posted neighborhoods. My Forum, I guess my call counts. I don't waste time, giving a hard time. I call things as I see them and want the Forum to proceed.

But for arguments sake, the car sounds a lot faster than it really is, and that neighborhood NEVER has ANYONE driving 25mph on it. I'm not a kid, I don't drive at "irresponsible speeds". Do I play around with the car time to time, especially after I gained almost 100% increase in hp? You bet your ***!

We have alot of kids and teens here, and I am watchful the Forum doesn't take wrong turns. We are also a Corporate Owned Forum within a large Media Group and keep a positive image. We play by the rules, respect laws regardless of what EVERYONE is doing. Not try to pick, or single you out, that'* just the way it is here. My car makes about 350hp. I've been known to play, but that'* on my time, not the Forums.

I just read your posts, and I love the info and the pictures! I hope you find your GM, but that Miata is too good not to continue being posted about over here. Keep up the great work!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome
Unfortunately, I ended up with a Ford. I know I know. lol
I spent entirely too much time of my life looking on craigslist and driving around CT looking at cars, that last Monday at 10pm I went to see a Taurus and bought it on the spot.
Long story short, the guy I got the car from seemed like a good guy over the phone, but in person I knew I didnt like him. I figured it wasn't him that mattered, it was the car. A quick test drive and poke around and everything seemed good for the asking price. I got him to come down $250 and ended up with a '03 Ford Taurus for $1750.
The drive home was TERRIBLE! After I got it home and on the lift the next day, turns out the drive side rear wheel is bent (anything over 50mph is a joke), and the rear suspension is shot (bounces like its on hydraulics on the highway). Also turns out the guy I got the car from isn't on the up and up, and is what I believe to be a broker for donated cars (even longer story). So now the car is registered and insured and I'm in the process of buying the parts to fix it as we speak. Hopefully I can have it buttoned up by the weekend, assuming the parts get here in time.
Meanwhile I need to have the miata towed to the shop so I can swap in the new turbo, clean it up, winterize it, and cover for the winter. Last year I drove it all winter, then let it sit all summer.

I'm sorry you bought a Ford, a Taurus at that! LOL I thought you were looking for a truck to haul stuff with?
