Default Ohh hai GM forum

Hello GM forum!

I registered here back in May when I was having a hard time finding the issue with my boss'* Envoy XUV, but never posted anything. Now I'm here cause I'm on the hunt for another GMC for myself.

I had a 1999 Envoy and although I had some issues with it, I loved it. I work construction (concrete foundation company) and many times had to take it offroad in the dead of winter, and it never let me down. I blew the motor in it about 4 years ago and let it sit for awhile and debated fixing it, but I just recently traded it for a paint job and some bodywork on my current car.

That would be my 1990 miata. I bought it stock with 44k on the clock back in '04 and have been working on it since. Its not a show car or a race car, just my daily driver that I can rip around in. Unfortunately though, it does more sitting than it does driving. I've turned every nut and and bolt myself, as well as re-wired most of the car, installed everything aftermarket thats on it, tuned it, etc etc. I made 250whp and 231tq on my last dyno session, but shortly thereafter I blew the turbo. I've had a new one waiting to go in since June, but a lot has kept me from actually working on the damn thing.

Currently I've started my own ebay based business that involves LOTS of driving, and hauling things back and forth from place to place. So even though the miata is a ton of fun, its not that great for work purposes. And with winter coming up I am pressed for time and looking to try and buy something by the end of the weekend. I've searched and searched craigslist, only to find junk after junk or amazing deals that are already gone by the time I call. So, now I'm turning to some forums that I'm registered on to see if anything pops up.

So if any of you guys are in the CT area and have a 4x4 for sale, or maybe you know of someone, please give me a shout! I'd also like to mention (without it coming off as solicitation), that I'm currently in the process of liquidating a closed down GM dealership and I have about $80k worth of stock that I'm going through. So if any of you guys are interested, and if its allowed, I can post up my store and you guys can check out what I have.

Sorry for the huge intro. If all goes well, hopefully I'll have a new GM 4x4 to share with you all soon!

Hey thanks guys!

To be honest, if I was to ever swap the motor out, I'd probably be putting in a LS motor.

Awesome Awesome Awesome Miata. 250hp in a such a small little car is actually very impressive!

I love it! How many miles are on it now?
