Default love my GMC

Like to say hi to everyone... Hi everyone. I have recently been doing a lot of work on my 01 Sierra 4x4 4.3 liter. I am having throttle cable or foot pedal problems. I can depress the pedal to the floor at 55mph and I get slow (very slow) response, but if I use the cruise control I get fast response. What'* up with that! Also this is a 5 speed manual.

welcome. you should have someone moving the petal see if there is anything funky going on with that. and you can check the throttle position sensor output 0ish to 4.5v with smooth response

Just did lower & upper intake gaskets and head gaskets about 1 month ago, replaced MFI spider, rotor, distributor cap, ignition coil, plugs & wires last summer. Everything looks good.
