ok ... is it safe to run a lower grade in it (while stock) i know with the mods to come will need the up in level ... im used to n/a cars so i'm a noob to */c ones

kk im trying not to go lower but college life can be a little tight ... oh well i'll go premi in her and when im low ill just walk to the doller store XD (its not to far)

I feel you I am as well in college. However if you figrfe its only abot 2-3 dollars more per fill up and can save you hundreds of dollars in damge its worth it

Welcome to the forum!
You CAN run lower grade fuel it in if need be, I'm assuming you put like 89 octane in it? That wouldn't have hurt it assuming you drove with a light foot. You really should run premium though unless it'* not available.

hey there, just to completely kill the whole topic on gas, the manual says that premium is recommended, but that lower grades can be used. it just retards the engine more when u use a lower octane fuel. My girlfriend used to run regular in the car and the only noticable difference was that it had less power. On the safe side, I wouldn't run less than mid-grade on a regular basis.

Im just going to point this out. You say that there is no problem however if the gas is not high enough octane it can cause predetonation which will cause knock... Also known as the biggest enemy not only to our horse power but alls to the cylinder

ill get better pics tomarro and post in the pic part of forum ... from the pics it looks the same but i could be wrong about the color ... if its not the same its close XD ... ok must get better gas ... then it will be time to see what she will really do ...
