fiero: in the beginning
ok, well, if you cant tell, i love fieros, i just bought my first one for 300 dollars, i am anautomechanic who went to school at wyotech, i am relatively young (19) and am still paying back student loans (wooo...) i love paint, metal fabrication, chasing down wiring issues (yes, i must be crazy) not some much fiberglass, so this fiero is going to test my patience, now this fiero is my first true project car so look to see more of it soon, as i will be posting updates and pictures of it soon, it is an 84 fiero se 2m4 with a t125 transmission (modernly known as 3t40), im a gm fan through and through

Welcome to the forum Zach!
I got to ride in a Fiero once while I was in high school, this was back in the early 90'*. They are fun I tell ya!
Good luck with the project and we'd love to see pictures during the work!

ok, pictures should be posted of the car in mostly current condition along with the naming of several problems it currently has as it rolled up to my driveway (because yes it was delievered to me) running and driving for 300 dollars

ok, here are the pictures by request
lol, yes that is a tractor light i bought at autozone, this car is my daily driver and must be road legal, this car was a victim of a hit and run, the day before i bought it, the person only had liability so it didnt get fixed, also there is a crack across the top of the windshield, looking to get the windshield replaced, probably going to end up getting a replica made, i dont like the factory tint at the top and it isnt adhesive, it looks brown from the inside, gross, also the car was originally black, and at some point got painted blue
from here you can see the hood still lifts up despite the damage, albeit it does pop and creak to do so, also you can see where the front side body damage and how the rest of the paint on the car is relatively untouched
the 'powerhouse', the noisy, underpowered 2.5l iron duke, runs like a champ, although it has its issues, not sure why but it idles incredibly high when it first start up, which i understand is to get it up to running temp and to recharge the battery, but 3000 rpms? seems a bit much, also it randomly drags when taking off from lights like it doesnt know where the pedal is but as soon as it hits 2500 rpms it surges, not sure what causes that, locked up torque converter? transmission slippage, tps reading wrong? map sensor? it does throw a code occasionally for the map sensor and tps not matching up but both sensors test fine, although i think the map sensor had a bad connection, i put some dielectric grease on the connectors to no avail, so idk, all the pins seem fine, no corrosion, so idk, any help on that issue would be appreciated, it does run so no complaints there
here you can see the interior, pretty good condition, if you look closely you can see a big silver button under the dash, yea thats the new rigged trunk release because the other button broke, it works when the battery does, which needs replaced, it kinda looks like someone died in the passengers seat, dont know why, nothing some seat covers wont hide till i can get the seats reupholstered, the car came with a little pink case for all the paperwork, and for those who wonder why the center console is so high, thats where the tiny 10 gal gas tank is placed, right under there, and thats also where the cigerette lighter and ecm are, seems like a great idea, and you see the jumper cables that get used all too often
the other side, in much better shape, here you see the intake side scoop, (not decoration) the gas fill, which on e as never filled more than 7 gallons in a tank rated at 10 gal, ,also the wheels on this car are from a 86gt, i was surprized when it rolled up, but i cant complain , here you can also see the drivers side door handle that doesnt work from the outside
overall for 300 bucks cant complain, now if a moderator could direct me to the right place to talk more about the project in motion
