New guy with VWs and a Buick
Hey All.
Although I'm new to owning a Buick, I'm not new at being in a car forum.
I own 3 classic VW'* now. 87 Scirocco, and 2 90 Corrado G60'* (supercharged).
Was driving one of the COrrados as a daily driver and an old guy smacked in the back of me. Inusrance wanted to total out the car and I said no. A friends grandfather owned the Buick and found out I was in need of a car. I bought it for $1500 and can't find anything wrong with it. it was garaged most of it'* life, and when it was driven it was a cruiser on the highway.
No leaks, lots of power, A/C works and all this for 60k miles.
I am extremely happy with the performance as well as no engine noise at all. I caught myself looking at the instrument cluster several times last Monday making sure it was still running, that'* how quiet it runs.
So.. Hello all and I hope that I learn these cars like I have learned the VW'*.

Hey Azimpulse! Welcome to the forum. I split the other thread to make a new thread just for you. Glad to have you here, and I'm glad you're enjoying your Buick! By the way, what'* going to happen with the hit Corrado? Rebuilding it?

Rebuilding it. The old guy dented right under the tail lense and right above the bumper, and left 2 scratches on the bumper. The insurance claimed they could only find ONE Corrado in the entire nation, in PA, and the guy wanted $1500 for that part. I told her that I know of 3 Corrados in 2 salvage yards with that part and would sell it to me for $500-$700. They were going to pay me less because of the rarity of the car. I got more out of them.
As far as the park Ave (Since I feel I should also through in a little GM content) I need a good right headlight. Didn't even have the car 24 hours and a truck threw some rocks at the perfect car. Put a hole through the headlight, and 2 cracks in the windshield. MAN did I make up some dirty words that day! (shop talk I guess some call it).
When I washed, waxed, polished, and paint sealed the Buick Friday night I noticed this. :(
Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure in time I'll jump in with my 2 cents, when I get more in tune with the car.
I did post some pictures of it in my album.
Have a great week all.
