Newbie from the great Northwest
Hi,
Just found this site today while searching for info on changing my PCV. I own a 96 Bonneville, SE. I've just failed my county'* emission test, for the first time, yesterday. Friends
think it may be the forward O2 sensor so I'll be posting a question soon.
Phil

I dont think i'm making it (however I might) at least 2 or 3 bonnevilles showing up already.
With the assumption you are in the boise area, I'm sure jared would be happy to scan your car with powertuners to see if it easy to tell why its failing emissions.

Ya, I"m from Ada County. Some good news today-I passed the state emissions test today. This was after an oil change & replacement of the PCV. I really think it was probably operator error. The guy today agreed. It did throw two codes off however--P0102 and P1406. The first one relates to a vac. leak I think and the second one, he said, is a MAP sensor error. Now I did remove the MAP sensor yesterday so I could replace the PCV so I may not have installed it securely. I'll check it tomorrow. Or is P1406 something else? EGR?
Thanks for the welcome. I'll start a new thread in the proper forum about another problem I'm having.
What would you recommend about the P0102 code? I'll do a search too.
