Newbie from AZ
Hello. New here from Glendale AZ. Grew up and lived all my life in Southeastern WI but in 2007 I retired and 2008 moved to the sunny Phoenix area. I own a 2002 Silver SSEi Bonne and love the car. But it has been losing little sub assemblies here and there. It needs struts. Brakes. Oil pressure guage pegs at full pressure. A sensor is out somewhere in the anti-brake system so the traction lock is permanently off. Both rear window lift assemblies have broken the cable. Nothing that stops the car but all things I need to fix. I was pointed in this direction from another Bonne owner and he says the fixes are all on here. So I look forward to reading up on the site.
I'm also an old time Pontiac nut. Have had several Pontiacs from mild to wild. I just got an offer I could not refuse on my '73 Trans Am and sold it to a new owner in delaware. It was a street/strip built 455(462) turbocharged to 1065 hp. I'm reinvesting the money from the TA into my new project. A Gasser style street freak 1963 Catalina 2 dr sport roof. I've added in the front clip and beam axle from a '57 chevy pickup. I'm right now working on narrowing the real frame rails for wide/wide tires and rims. I'll add pics if they will come up here. I'll try one of the TA leaving to it'* new home and a pic of the turbo system. if they work I'll add a reply with pics of the '63 so far. Thank you for bringing me into your fold. I will need the help of your site for the Bonne. And I can brag about my '63 when you're not looking, heh!
And a teaser of the '63

Hello guys. Thank you for the welcome.. 84cutlassvert, I'll have to stay tuned for your meetings or get togethers. Where do you guys get together? I'll hop over to your site and sign in. Thanks for the invite. Yeah Brian, I really enjoyed that TA. I had since 1999. Got it from a friend that I didn't even know had it. If you go to here

you can see all about it. It was under my name before I sold it but it is under the new owners name now. Most of the content was my work though.
But now I'm building the Catalina. I'm building a 1960 389 block (much stronger block that the later '63 and up thinner cast blocks) into a 406. Forged crank, aluminum rods, big flowing 325 cfm aluminum KRE heads, 4 bolt splayed caps, partially filled block etc etc etc. Then it'* getting turbocharged also. I've been in love with turbocharging since my first turbo car. Doubt I'll ever go back. Although I love a good high strung N/A built engine also. The TA with the same basic engine and 200 shot of giggle juice made 10.2 @ 134 ( in the race video on one of the pages). With the turbo It dyno'd at 886 hp at the rear wheels. 1065 hp at the flywheel, on 15 psi. This 406 will have a better flowing head, stronger block and prepped more for boost, roller cam and valvetrain, just a better all around build than the 462. I hope to do better than the 886 at that the wheels. We'll see if I can make it live up to expectations. Thanks again for the welcome. I'll pop up a couple of pics of the engine and car so far.
Lots of stuff to do. Mark L

His car is a cross between an SSEi and a GXP. It'* an SSEi with a modded L67 (dropped pulley size and CAI) and has GXP rear bumper cover, tail lights, head lights, and a partial GXP interior

Ahh got cha. I was hoping to see that V8 conversion on one but a nice L67 can really do well too. I was hoping to someday get a good second car for the wife and then do a front engine rear drive conversion on the Bonne. I would build either a good supercharge L67 and a 6 speed T-56 or go with a full LS/T-56 conversion. If I can make it legal down here. But for now just have to drive it and love it the way it is. That'* not hard to do. If I did the conversioin I would rebadge it as a Bonneville N/*. For North/South. LOL Mark L
