Default Hey All

This is my first time to the site. I am currently looking to purchase a new 2005 SLE Bonneville and I figured that this would be a great place to get more info on the 2005 SLE model.

Welcome to the club.

I don't know much about the 2005'*. I don't even think anyone here has a 2005 SLE yet... ?

But I can tell you that you will have one of the most solid engines on the planet if you get that car. There are many members on here that have put well over 150,000 or even 200,000 miles on these powertrains with just minimal maintainence.

I'm sure others will chime in with lots of info.

Welcome to the Club. The Series 2 3800 is one rock solid engine.
Those 05 sure do look nice too.

Welcome to the club! The '05s look awesome.

Oh yeah, and Sol is right, for S2 engines, but the pre-series 1 [LG3/LN3], have seen well over 300k, or more on the stock engine/tranny. Although i doubt you care about 15 year old cars, just thought i'd add that

Welcome fellow Irishman.
You are going to love the 05 if you get it. With the GXP front and rear fascia'* and without all the extra side cladding that is standard on the 00-04 SLE and 00-03 SSEi'*, you WILL stand out from the rest of the crowd. At least with the SLE you won't be as disappointed power-wise as is common with the GXP (which should be rated with another 40-50 hp to compete with the Hemi 300C, and have 60-70 to really compete at the track).
Also, with the L36, there is A LOT of knowledge out here on the net, and if you're into modding -there'* a surpisingly large # of mods considering it'* a 4 dr with a 6 cylinder engine.
Also, what color are you thinking? May I suggest Pearl White?

I don't think that anybody here has an 05 yet. but by looking at it, i want one. It looks a lot like the GXP.
