not really a 'new' member, just back for more i was previously known as 'malibuolds' but my email changed and stupid me already deleted my old email account so i couldn't reactivate my account. so i just re-registered using the screen name i use on all of the other forums i go to and besides less confusion that way for people here who know me on other forums (fwiw i'm the site admin over on http://www.gmwbody.com ). hope that doesn't cause problems for you moderators my apologies if i went about it the wrong way.

anyways, i sold my '94 SSE to my brother last year, which is currently sitting un-driveable due to the steering column. i'm not sure what he'* going to do with it. i thought about trying to buy it back but i really want an L67 and not an L27. i also want one with a moonroof.

i found a pair of SSEis sitting together in someones yard. they have been there for a long time and haven't moved. neither looked to be in too good of shape; obviously someone'* project cars. one was green and the other was black. both of them were '92-'95. i'm assuming whoever owns them is using one as a parts car to fix the other one up? i wish i could go ask about them, but no money :(

i currently have a '98 Regal GS which i LOVE, but i'd really like to sell it so i don't have a car loan. i'd glady sell it for what i owe on it but that'* going to be tough considering my location (even though my loan pay-off is WELL below NADA average retail). call me crazy but i really prefer the looks of the '92-'95 SSE/SSEi over the '97+ Regal GS. the '92-'95 SSE/SSEi is probably my favorite looking FWD GM car. the styling alone outweighs the Regal GS'* Series II L67 for me. i'm sure i could get a Series I L67 SSEi to be reasonably quick anyway. i know Series I aftermarket is very limited but it'* not like i want to build a high 13 second car out of it anyway. my Cutlass already fills that need - it will absolutely blow the doors off my Regal GS (though my GS is totally stock of course whereas my Cutlass is FAR from stock). there are a few other cars i've seen locally that i'm interested in, one being a '92 Grand Prix STE, BUT i don't want to have anything to do with the 3.4L DOHC LQ1 engine it has (rare car though, 1 of only 571 made). besides, i already have a 1st GEN W-body. i think another one would bore me. the other is my neighboor'* black '89 Taurus SHO. i really lke the SHO, but i already have a car with a 5-speed. i want my 'other car' to have an automatic. so yeah....i'd rather have an SSEi over those two cars.

anyway, i might try to sell my Regal GS soon. i'd rather have a cheap project car than a car loan at this point, ecspecially since i REALLY need to start school soon. i already have a dependable daily driver besides my Regal GS anyway. i do all of my own work (besides welding i guess) so something that needs a little work isn't a problem for me.

anyways, just back to say hi and hopefully i can find another SC '92-'95 Bonneville soon. i like the '96+ alright but not nearly as much as the '92-'95, and besides, they would be more expensive anyway.

Welcome (back) to BC!

What I've found is that if you want something bad enough, opportunity will eventually present you with the right answer. Hang in there and you'll find just what you're looking for.
