Default Howdy From Florida

Retired in Florida originally from Pittsburgh (Go Steelers)
Presently working to restore a 1988 Chev 3500 dually and need plenty of help. Just located a problem that has been bugging me for a year. The truck would run great and then it would run bad; surge, hesitate, die completely and run rough. Sometimes I would let it sit after it stalled and restart it and she would run fine until the next episode. Had it to my mechanic twice hoping they could fine the problem but it never acted up when they had it. Turned out to be a vacuum leak at the MAP hose connection. I just cut the hose back and slid her back on and all the above problems are gone. Hope my next issue won't take me so long to fix. Cheers! Paul K.

Welcome to the forums Paul!
Glad you found & got that vac leak sorted out!
Those late 90'* truck were great strong trucks!
What do you use it for, and what plans ahead do you have for the dually?
