New Member, but I have been lurking for over a year.
I decided to register today because I need help purchasing a new Bonneville and there is a lot of great advice on this forum. I will post on the GXP forum later on today.
I am older than most of the posters on this site. I am 54. I have a 95 SLE with all options, black with grey leather interior. The car is in decent shape but has 190,000 miles on it so far. The car has been pretty reliable, only left me stranded twice and a tow to the dealer to get it fixed was in order.
I have been looking for a new car since last November and the Cadillac CTS was my final decision. This past weekend, she who must be obeyed, my wife and I decided that we really need a car/ SUV that will carry the family on a vacation. This left the CTS out of the picture because it is a nice car but does not have enough space for a family of three to go on a two week vacation. Very small trunk. Enter the Bonneville GXP into the picture.
My last two cars were purchased using the GM Employees discount but my wife no longer works for EDS so I will really have to bargain hard at the dealership to get the price close to or below invoice pricing. This will be a challenge but I am up to the task. After all I am the one with the money not the dealer. LOL
I have enjoyed the many posts that I have read on this site and look forward to contributing to the site.

Greetings internetling. i have mixed emotions about the GXP, but i'm sure it will grow on me. i am looking to test drive one just to see the difference between it and mine. Mine was a hell of a lot cheaper and with minimal modifications is faster but there is just something about a new car Anyway good luck with the dealer you choose...
