New member, '90 SE my first Pontiac
Hi guys,
New here and I thought I would check in...
Just traded my '92 ford 150 pickup for a '90 Bonneville SE yesterday.
I will be using it as a daily driver commuter vehicle, the gas mileage on the pickup was killin' me.
This is my first Pontiac even though I have been a fan of them for years.
I have only driven it about 50 miles so far but I must say I am very impressed with it so far.
Very quiet and smooth and seems to handle pretty good considering there are no mods to it.
I will be hanging around here and hope to learn a lot about my new baby.
Heres a few pics...

Thanx for the warm welcome...
The car is pretty clean but does really need new paint and a few other pieces replaced.
Grill is cracked, and there is a hole in the panel surrounding the rear lic plate, and the fog lights under the front bumper look like they might have hit a curb, they're broken and bent upward.
Also the tail lights look a little ratty. It'* what I would call a 20 foot car LOL.
It'* presentable enough though, I don't have to be ashamed to show up in it anywhere.
Yes it does have hood pins.
Tthe hood latch does not work, it looks like the hood might have blown open at one time. There is a crease about 18 inches in from the back of the hood on each side.
It is hard to see unless you know it is there.
So I will probably replace the hood (and latch of course) before getting it painted.
I checked my RPO Code decal and I do have both these codes, I'm guessing this is a good thing.
Here is a pic of the RPO Code decal...
Anybody care to decode some of these for me?
I drove the car to work today, about 30 miles each way on the turn pike,
and again I must say, I am very impressed with this car.
Quiet, smooth and it seems very powerful for a six banger.
I'll have to be careful driving it, I'd be cruising along at what seems 65-70 MPH and look down at the speedo and see that I was doing 85-90 MPH,
like I said very smooth and quiet.
CD
