Man I think those holdens are absolutely gorgeous. You guys might have them all over the place, but we dool over them. That Vauxhall VXR8 we call the Pontiac G8 should have stayed here forever.

Anyways, I had an L27, and if we're talking about the same engine made 92-95, I know just about all these it to know about it. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll be more than glad to answer them for you.

For starters, be warned that it doesn't take boost well. HOWEVER, the Series 1 Supercharged engine (the L27 being our Series 1), does have strengthened rods and pistons, which allow it to handle boost better.

Feel free to ask more questions, and enjoy your stay. Bring some of your friends over!

Thanks radomirthegreat for fixing it up i noticed there isnt a edit button here...

And thanks heaps guys, car is a 89 model vn commodore, originally came with a series 1 engine (but not sure what you guys call it over here..) and then the L27 came out in 1992-1995, then went to ecotecs L36 & the L67 was introduced from here, just to give you guys a understanding of how behind the times we have been lol.

It'* only been in the last 8 years that companys have started to make performance parts for the v6'* so i thought i'd come and have a look and see what you guys are doing with your engine'* and what sort of power you are getting...

how much boost are you refering too? the most ive seen from a unopened turbo L27 is 289rwkw or 387.5rwhp on 19psi, altho most people dont seem to go above 14psi for reliability on a rich tune and making well over 300rwhp.. How far do you'* push the L27? or dont bother wasteing your time with it? lol
