As for the mods, you can do a top swap and make the L36 supercharged. Of course that'* a lot of work involved, depends on how far your boyfriend wants to go but that would open it up for more mods later.
ohh i got cha, yeah it totally pisses me off how people don't take car of nice cars. actually my monte isn't a true intimidator even though lots of people think it is right now bcuz her exterior mods aren't done yet. i have pics of what it use to look like in my photo album i think.

yeah i was thinking about that but yeah i'm not sure how far he wants to go or can go with it right now with him being so busy with college and work. BTW what kinda engine does he have now you think? Like I know it'* the 3.8L V6 but I know it isn't a L67 like mine.

Exterior modding.....it'* all about vision. You can do lots or little and it'* all up to personal style.

Drag that boyfriend of yours in here.....will give him the mod bug!
Thanks! Yeah I kinda figured it was the same with montes, the first thing we always tell people new to the forum is about the upgrade to the L67 motor & supercharger if they really wanna do anything performance wise.
Haha ohh i'll try to drag him up onto one of these forums sooner or later. He'* still learning about cars & i dont think he wants to make a fool of himself lol

yes that'* the supercharger. there are two type of M90 one is for the L67 which is the GEN3 M90 and then there is the one you have in the monte which is the GEN5 on the L32 motor which is more efficent than the GEN3

To do a top swap you need:
Supercharger
Lower Intake
Heads
Fuel Rail & injectors
PCM (or have yours programmed)
A couple of the pulleys on brackets or do a single belt system like crunkfrunk did
Harmonic balancer

The also need the ICM bracket, and the #9 pulley bracket. At that point, if the car does not have the 4t65e-hd transmission, upgrading that is a good idea. For that it'* easy, pull both wheels and axles, pull diff cover, remove diff, remove output shaft clip, pull output shaft out drivers side, slide in new output shaft, put new diff and diff cover on, and your set. Top swap will run around $500 in parts, transmission about $150.

Thanks guys. I'll most def talk to him about it and see what he wants to do, if he wants to go that far with it or what exactly his plans are. Looks like I'll get all the help we need on this site

You can get all the parts here as well. I'm sure I have nearly everything laying in my shop for a top swap.
