Hello from Ann Arbor, MI
Hello Ya'll!
I recently (beginning of the year) got my first Bonneville, a 1992 SE, donated to my wife and I from our church (our previous car, a 1989 Escort Wagon, had rusted itself into oblivion). I've had a couple of things replaced by a shop (Fuel Sending Unit / Front Driver'* Side Wheel Bearing), but have recently started to get interested in doing repairs myself (both due to monetary and "fun" reasons)! I live at an apt complex, so this is sometimes hard with no good work space, but I'm learning slowly, and the summer'* here (so no more frozen hands while doing diagnostics )!
I'm a Computer Science student here at the University of Michigan, so I've had much time diagnosing and troubleshooting computers. What I hadn't realized until recently (for some very strange reason) was that diagnosing and repairing cars was a very similar thing to do and not some kind of voodoo .
Since I've been here so far, I've already learned to troubleshoot ABS problems myself, as well as learned how to fix countless other things and how to notice common symptoms that connect to common problems. Thanks for having this amazing resource -- it is much appreciated! I'll do my best to put in the little things I learn along the way as well.

Welcome! Love the avatar, Lain is a cool/weird show.
Fixing anything in the world boils down to plain old process of elimination and busted knuckles. Everything else is just knowing how to use the manual.

Sorry, I just had to. What year CS are you? I took CS classes last year at Xavier University, but idk if I'm going back... I'm kinda considering electrical engineering and aviation. But, yeah, you'll fit right in. Oh, and some pics would be great

Re: Hello from Ann Arbor, MI
Thanks for your wonderful welcomes!
GonneVille: Thanks! I like Lain too! It was one of the first anime shows I got into. Yes, I do believe you're right about fixing things. Silly me for not getting there faster! As for manuals, I'm still looking for some ... so if you hear of anyone wanting to get rid of 92SE ones, let me know. I'll have to post in the "Wanted" Section about that .
petraman: I suppose I'll be required to tolerate Ohio State fans At least I know that our fight song'* better :p I'm in my junior year. Had to take a couple years off, but not back on and going strong. I'm taking an EE/CE class this semester, Digital Logic -- kinda fun because we get to play with "toys" in labs and build stuff. I was trying to wait to post until I had pics, but my desire to get the car washed hasn't happened yet. I'll try to do this this week so that I can have some good ones ... would hate to show you her for the first time with all her winter salt and dirt .
Archon: Thanks! I know how they can get sometimes .
BonnevilleLErocks: Hi! Good to see another member right next door in Detroit!
popatim: Hi!
