I LOVE my Bonnie!
Hello, all! My name is Michae, I am a 31 yo disabled USAF vet, formerly a Pararescue Jumper. I keep busy with my computer and home digital video projects. I have a 1996 Bonneville SE, green, with 52-53,000 miles so far - and loaded, with almost every option available in the SE line, imcluding gold wheels (came with the car, I assume factory upgrades?) I bought my Bonnie in April/May of 2002, and just paid it off this month (Oct. 2003). She has a few things that need repairing when I can afford it, such as a new paint job, the driver'* rear window regulator, the vanity lights, both rear grab-handle lights, and the roof console was replaced, but I can't seem to get it all the way back in right.
Even so, I LOVE my Bonnie very much! I have owned a good selection of different cars and trucks over the last 16 years, but my Bonnie is one of my all-time favourites! Very quick even stock, great handling, very comfy, super riding, and I paid $4,000 under book value for it! Can you beat that? She doesn't look like much right now due to the paint burns on the mid-front of the roof and the trunk, (probably a combo of scratched paint from the previous owner and the Florida sun working on the paint) but she'* not to be trifled with by the rice-burner 4 banger crowd.... Hey, I might park in the gimp spaces, but that doesn't mean I can't still blow your doors off, kid!
I'd like to mention my thanks to the creators and moderators of this site, for providing a Bonneville-only enthusiast'* site, finally! It took me a while to find it, but thanks!
