Hello! New Bonneville owner here!!
I was lookig for a good car for our teenager and came across a '93 Bonneville owned by an old guy since it was new (the car, not the lold guy LOL). Only 69,810 miles on it, so I grabbed it.
I had no clue how much I would fall in love with the car!!! We've only had it four days and I am really wanting to drive it myself everywhere.
It does have some rust on it which has made me need osme parts that I am having ahard time finding. I will post in the other section about that.
Nice site, by the way! Oh, and have I mentioned that I LOVE THIS CAR!!??

Thanks
Yup! The mileage was a real surprise. However, the rust is something I am concerned about. It is in the rocker inner and outer panles right under the driver'* door. I can stop the rust with some chemicals and put a moulding over it, but I didn't realize the rust had gotten to the inner until after I bought it.
Ihave heard that there was a silent recall ont hat year due to the rocker construction holding moisture and rusting out exactly where mine is. The car is well past the point of taking advantage of a fix, but it looks like I can save it from further damage.
Other than that, the car is mechanically flawless. He had all maintainence done at the dealer where he bought it. Ithas new brakes all the way around, recent oil change and a history of regular changes. The trans fluid is beet red with no burnt smell to it. The car needed absulutely nothing.
He was asking $3000. I offered $2700. We agreed on $2850. Then, after his wife saw my 10-month old triplets, he decided to drop the price another $50 just to be nice!!
I guess he figured we could use the cash LOL!!
Iwork at GM here in Warren Michigan and usually drive trucks. I often said I'd never drive a car again, but this 11-year old Poncho has won me over
Instead of fixing all my typos, allow mw to say that my keyboard is at a weird angle and lends itself to some goofy errors when I type.

LOL..welcome to the club Nick. First allow me to congratulation you on your purchase and of course the 3 little ones.
Don't get to attached to the car though...esp if it is for your teenager :P
To bad about the body rot. Hopefully you can find a way to get something done for that
