Default Hello

My name is Dave. I have been looking for a GXP site for a couple months now. This is my third Bonneville. I don't remember the years but the first was a standard 3.8, second was the blown 3.8 and now the GXP. The first one was the best to date. We had a grandmother type friend that needed a good car so we made her a deal on it and she still has it about 10 years later. The blower 3.8 we replaced it with was bought on one of those corner lots.... I knew we were in trouble when all the keyfobs were new, now I am pretty sure it had been repo'd. Many problems so we traded it in. (not necessarily all the cars fault I believe) My wife had a 02 Yukon that was hard for her to drive in the wind and getting 14 MPG so we went car shopping. She has wanted a BMW for some time now, but in the end we just weren't in the position to buy the one that fits our needs. I took her to every dealership as to make a good decision. I was hoping for a newer cad or the Magnum. She hated the looks of both but did see the GXP at the caddy dealership. We really expected to see 20 to 22 MPG out of it and are nowhere near that so that and a couple other small problems are why I still think the first one was our best Bonneville. Minus a couple small items and some better economy this has the potential to be the finest car we have ever owned. The stereo is the best stock system I have ever heard hands down. This is coming from someone who competed in car audio and won. Whew, this got windy... Glad to be here and looking forward to many fun discussions.
