Again thanks for all you input.

Hood herpes right? There'* a thread at the top of the 2000 mechanical section that outlines a lot of the typical issues we've seen. It'* a good read.

On the Caddy...lol Bonneville is the way to go in my opinion too.

Kathleen:
First off welcome to the BC.

Second us 2K owners area tight group and like to help each other out.

Third post up your problems this weekend in the 2K+ forums and one of us will help you out. The Yellow M&M, Archon, is really quick and his information is usually right on target.

There are also more than a few instances of members helping members over the phone when problems are encountered.

And lastly you have come to the correct place to get your Bonneville in top running order and looking terrific.

Hi Kathleen! Welcome to BC!!

Like 95SLE just said above me, many of us 2000+ owners have had these problems. I guarantee by the time your here a couple months, you will have a new found love for your Bonneville. I was pretty fed up with mine the first week I had it. Back and forth to the dealer. But these guys helped me along, and I love my Bonneville like it'* a second child

So welcome aboard, and stick around

Hi, Kathleen! Welcome to the club.

I have to say, you're having far more than normal problems. I would check the car out on CARFAX, and maybe run the old one'* VIN through it too. The water problems could be seals rotting normally, but to have two in a row, from the same dealer, sounds suspiciously like they got a load of flood cars to me...You also might want to inquire at the BBB and see if there have been any cases filed against them in the past...

As far as straightening out your current car, this is definitely the right place. We'll do our best to get you fixed up and running right(and our best is pretty damn good )

BTW, as far as the Eldo goes, I love the looks of em, but I'll still take any G- or H-body over them anyday for ride and comfort, and any supercharged 3.8 for power...

Default YOU GUYS ROCK!

Thanks for the welcome. I'll visit the other spots on this forum this weekend. They just returned my car to me and bless their hearts didn't charge me. I guess it was an evap issue thing and they adjusted something (oh gosh you guys don't ask I'm a girl, I know enough to get into trouble) guess it was related to when I went to go fuel up the pump would keep shutting off like my tank was full when it wasn't full at all.

Any whoooooo thank you thank you thank you for the warm welcome.

I'm way ahead of you. I actually did those things with the 2000 after I started encountering problems and I did it with the 2002 before I purchased it. I been to the ntsh'* web site and actually filed a compalint with the dealer with the BBB plus lot'* of googling!

LOL yep I won't tell Bob his ride stinks. I'd take mine for the long drive any day and I'm not even sporten the top of the line model. Now his vette on the other hand...... well that'* a sweet ride, but not conducive to winter driving, or being out in the rain, or bumpy roads or yada yada yada.

Sounds like you're on top of things with the dealer. Glad to hear it. I'm a firm believer in getting what I pay for, and if I pay for it, it better be right!
One of our other members had trouble with a dealer, he'* taking it all the way...

Never, EVER, let someone get away with ripping you off!
(oh gosh you guys don't ask I'm a girl, I know enough to get into trouble)
Not an issue at all, other than chasing off the leg-humpers(DOWN BOYS!!)
Trust me, there'* quite a few women here that are just as willing as any of the guys to jump in and bust knuckles when the need arises. No matter who you are, the big secret isn't knowing everything, it'* knowing how to ask for help.
