Got Practical, Bought myself a Bonneville SLE
Hi Guys/Gals!
I am not exactly new, being a few years ago (2006) I had been lurking on the forums as I was interested in purchasing a Bonneville after I sold my 1999 Trans Am. Well once I sold the T/A I ended up in a mint 96 Z28 with some stuff done to it
Sold the Z28 last fall because I had been offered a job in Nevada (lake tahoe area) in the mountains and needed a 4wd vehicle for the "snow by the feet" out there.
Bought myself a 2006 Trailblazer, being at that time gas was $4+ per gallon and I was able to practically steel the Trailblazer since SUV'* were like unmoveable bricks on dealer lots.
Well the job I was offered ended up falling through due to the economy, just like so many other jobs out there.
So I moved to Naples/Ft Myers area in Florida being I have always wanted to live in FL, and my parents have a second home in Cape Coral just a short drive away. It was a risk moving here without a job first, and it has been tough, but I have been doing things to get by for now until I can find a job that I am really looking for.
Anyways, It was great having an SUV to tow a big U-haul trailer accross country however after being down here and being short on cash, and averaging 16 mpg with it I decided it was just not practical to be driving a 4wd vehicle in FL.
So I began looking for something else that interested me, that I could get into for NO money, and the dealer could write me a check to help me pay the bills right now. So yesterday I drove across the state and traded my 06 Trailblazer in on a 2002 Bonneville SLE. When it was all said and done, the dealer gave me what I ended up paying for the vehicle last year, and I picked up the Bonneville for LESS than every other car I could find similar to it is going for. So I left the dealer in a great car, with a check on the way to me in the mail for the difference, and averaged 31mpg on the way home at 75mph!!
Here are some pictures:
Picture of the 6000k HID'* on the road that I swapped over from the Trailblazer to the Bonneville, I also swapped over LED'* for the license plate and will be converting the interior to LED'* that I took out the trailblazer.
and here is the Trailblazer I traded in:
Sorry for the long post, but wanted to properly introduce myself now that I picked up a Bonneville. More, BETTER pictures to come of the bonneville, I just took them quick when the sun was already down, but I love auto photography and once I give the Bonne the Zaino Treatment I will get out and take some good pictures
