Default 97 bonneville

Hello everyone,

I joined this forum in hopes of getting some help with some problems that my car has been having lately. Let me explain, My car is a 1997 bonneville se, it has about 134,000 miles on it, and has very few problems. The car died twice yesterday while driving in the rance of 35 to 45 mph. I started watching the rpm gauge to see if it was dropping. The rpm'* would drop to around 500 and then bounce back up to 1100 to 1200. Only sometimes it wouldnt bounce back up or it would drop low enough to actually die. Now both times that it died it would start back up with no problem.

Does anyone have any clue what could be going on here?

Welcome to the forum! You could have a couple of issues that would do that. Go ahead and start a new post in the 92-99 section with your question, make sure you list down anything that you might have done with your car, like tune up'*, or any modifications.

Welcome to the site. Start with checking your battery cables, clean both ends of both cables. Another possibility is your crank position sensor
