So, they dyno'd you, gave you someone else'* slip, won't give you your money back, and you still don't know how much power you're making?

Welcome to BC!

I'll let the others grill you on your car'* performance, lol. It sounds like you have some nice power adders though, so you're in luck.

As you have already probably noticed, we're big on pictures here and personal car info. Take a couple minutes to put your year and trim level in your signature. You can do that by clicking on the "Profile" button above.

And let us know what dyno shop you went to, so none of us make that same mistake.

You started out with 240hp CRANK and 280tq CRANK. Those numbers are not at the wheels.

Find another dyno, and ask for your money back from the last one.
If I may offer my .02 cents worth, I've seem many Corvette'* being dyno'd and on average you loose about 25% from the crank to the rear wheels. I'd say this is an average of about 50 Vette'* I've seen dyno'd. I saw the figures on paper. The highest I witnessed was around 749 hp down to about 570 RWHP. Therefore when you say 280hp down to 240 RWHP typically it should be more around, 210 at the rear wheels. Then again that'* my opinion based on past experience.

The only dyno I've ever had to my car was the Vette and it was 380 bhp to 289.5 RWHP.

As Boosty says...................welcome to the forum....

25% loss is typical for our OEM transmissions. A well built performance trans can be as low as 20% loss.

A few tips for ya Mike, in order to make your experience here a bit more enjoyable.

1) Learn as much about your car as you can before making boastful claims.
2) Don't make said claims until you can back it up, by any means necessary, if you got no proof, and you make illogical claims, you will be called out on it.
3) You bought a modified car? Make sure you do your homework on these modifications, a 2003 model year SSEi probably has some kinda balance of a factory warranty, With all those aftermarket gizmos, you've kissed a GM warranty buh-bye. ts in your best interest to know all you can about the car....see point 1).

This site has way to many members with real-proven-no-foolin modifications. You can have the same respect, and you could be a big help to 2000+ owners that want to modify.

Good luck with your 03, my fave feature of the 03, Aurora seats.

1) the warranty was already up when i bought the car
2) i only put wat the papers told, even tho they werent mine, (little did i know)
3) when i do find out wat all my stuff is ill post it, im not trying to be all big and bad with no balls under the hood, it was a mistake.

anyways, harofreak, u wanna race ill race u, but u gotta come to me, i bring the races to me not the other way around, ive raced almost everyone with a modded car in this city, and ive beeten about 35-40% of them so ill take anyone on, dont care if i loose, i just race for fun
